ABOUT US
We are mothers who are deeply concerned about the education of our children. We want our children to be academically successful, we want our children to have experiences with diverse student populations and we want our children to be taught by a diverse teaching staff. These qualities may not be in place in all schools in Macomb County but it is our goal to make that a reality.
Our children are entitled to a quality education, having chosen Macomb County schools means that we desire all the excellence that Macomb County districts offer all of their students.

We are true believers in one never has enough resources. As you use this site you will see how we use resources. Always keep in mind that our goal is to keep you informed. We will provide resources that educators use and resources that are specifically of interest to parents. Use them all. When you meet with educators don't be intimidated by their lingo, even if you don't use it, our goal is to make sure you are familiar with it.

Edutopia (www.edutopia.org) is an education web-site specifically designed for educators. As an educator I have used it extensively but I highly recommend it for parents as well. It really calls teachers to be great teachers and addresses issues that educators should keep in mind as they build relationships with their students and their families. In that sense it is also good for parents. It gives parents the insight as to what can happen in a positive learning environment and some talking points that keep you part of the conversation.
